    Marypat Langan Gaffney

Marypat Langan Gaffney has more than 30 years of service with the US Government in a wide range of positions, and is, as well, a successful businesswoman and corporate engineer.  An admirer of our Founding Fathers since growing up in the shadow of Valley Forge, she spent more than 15 years in the Air Force, active duty and Reserves, developing advanced command and control communications networks before leaving service to work for several Fortune 500 “Hi Tech” firms as a technical programs executive.

She then founded her own company and for more than four years ran a highly successful mediation practice, which she only closed in the wake of the attack on our nation on September 11th, 2001. Returning to government service to assist the Global War on Terror, Marypat used her unique combination of skills in a series of successful counter-terrorist efforts on 4 different continents, even as she dragged a 6,000 volume library behind her.

During this period she also suffered through several years of service on Capital Hill without losing either her soul or her sense of humor. Marypat has a BS from Villanova, in Computers and Math, an MS in Telecommunications Engineering from George Washington University, and an MA in National Security Policy from National Defense University.
